RAIN ROMANCE

Each drop soaking in
Enriches the pores 
With underpinnings of hopes
Of sweeter breathing 
for the moist skin
At the thirsty roots ,
Exciting the breeze
To kiss the trees ,
Filling color in the leaves
Fanning the fire
in the earth’s body
To an upward surge,
Inviting players
under showers
In the mud to lovingly submerge.

Look how everybody here
is dancing in rain
flowers and fruit
shoot and the root,
lazy minds and the happy hearts
birds in their damp nest
and bees on flowers
even at their rest.

This rain in its tryst with the earth
Showers a profound bliss
Fighting out heat wave
And bringing in timely peace.
