BLACKBERRIES (jamun fruits)
Let me gather black berries in the orchard
In the rain forest of your courtyard
Sour-sweet berries-half-ripe, fully ripe and over- ripe
Mushrooming your entire lush green bust :
Half-ripe taut brownish berries that blush
on the vital boughs of your sweet body
Under the orange rays of a rising sun ;
Fully ripe deep black berries under a hush
At the topmost branches of your face
Under the crimson beams of a setting sun ;
And over- ripe blood-clot berries lying underneath
From under the wilted leaves of shed promises ;
From under the star-lets of white flowers
That learnt to smile from you in short phases ;
Half eaten berries fallen from beaks of song birds
Who ate them in a creative mood during pauses ;
Let me also collect the seeds of those berries
From under the silvery beams of a full moon
That dropped from mouths of monkeys
Who ate your berries in a hurry and fled
With wounds to your body without any causes ;
And grope for those unborn sweet berries
In the cavern of your highly desirable body
In the dale your secret thoughts, silent queries
Stealthy looks ,rosy dreams ,honeyed words
In your little desires and small insecurities.
