AKSHAYA TRITIAA day to remember 
The divine hand behind every creation
As the Earth is worshipped for cultivation;
And Ganga descends from heaven 
to shower all benediction .

A day when Vyasa started writing the Maahabharat
And wood is worshipped for our Lord’s Chariot.

A day when Krishna saved womanhood from humiliation
We bow to God with all devotion
Praying for an end to deprivation;
But who knows why
Whereas there is so much poverty in this country
We have little thought of Charity
