MELTING GLACIERS
Don’t know why my feeble mind
In such fetters this heart doth
bind
With waves inside oft rising
Under full moon swelling
To transgress all barriers
Inundating poor hearts of coastal
villages
With its unedible brackish waters
When tears dry up in Hope’s soft
eyes
Tearing hearts to loud yells and cries
As glaciers melt
under heat in Sun’s unholy eyes
Staring at mountains’ irresistible glossy thighs
Trees droop and die under nations’ repeated lies
Their words to hold on to global
pacts on ecology
To airy nothingness
so easily flies
Without scant regard or love for
Nature , man or God
Here we wait for strange relief under the ultimate sod
When self-made set of blunders so
harshly replies
Who will be there to stop all
these tears
and reply to these fervent heart- wrenching cries !!!
