LOVE UNLIMITED

There is such a peace here
where leaves of grass sway
under suffusion of a warm pink
flowing from the lips of a greedy sun
sucking the honey of cold dew
when the dawn of our tryst
had melted into a liquid love
at the feet Divine
with whispers
of secrets to salvation
spreading into the body of leaves
grown lush green with an ecstasy
that take the burdened spirits away
into a land of white relief
on petals of an unlimited love
that dance to the tune of holy dust
falling from under your tired feet
for the expectant hearts to warmly greet.

I sweat, I shiver, I sing and your words do repeat
at the altar of our souls’union with joy so replete !

Centipedes roam here with wild excitement
to fall in line for the morning march of the day
millipedes arrange the horses for ride
of the morning sun
and butterflies hoist the multicolored flag
for declaration of freedom from body
on this new day of our love unlimited
that keeps my mornings so excited !!!

A MILLION BIRDS SING

A million birds sing
in the woods of our leafy union
as this afternoon turns you on
with the music from unseen chimes
dangling from tall stout branches
up the trees’ robust thighs
in tune with which
our hungry heart sweetly cries

drawing the pink sun to a compromise
on your glowing lips
where leaves turn into bulbous tulips
and koels sing in thick boughs of your body
urging the moon to be a quicker boon

behind the excited unfolding of the braid of dark hair
with maddening scent from your twigs wafted into the air

I simply turn into a long- drawn- out conch’s blare
in the midst of the storms that in your secret corner flare
not knowing how to dare I am lost in the serenade
having nothing to do in the beams’ overpowering glare
but just at the reddening petals of your face I blindly stare !!!

TO THE SOLITARY BIRD SITTING
ON THE ELECTRICAL WIRE
-----------------------------------------------

With drops of rain from the sagging electrical wire
rolling  down hastening into an intermittent flow to the ground ;
the bird sitting and brooding with her shrunken plumes
over  the delight of a different rain in the past it found
the  echo of which in the captive wind did resound --
of  a  youthful tune that her heart did constantly pound ;
she thought how time had slipped away from under her feathers
with  life’s complications over the years that did  compound ;

and not  knowing when the current of death had crept in
to the wires connecting her to the woeful watery ground
putting  her life on a  journey to sudden  death  bound
she  fell like an empty  rain drop silently to the ground
not  knowing what peace she from life really had found !!!

HUNGER AND DEATH

Can’t you see smelt fishes jumping up streams
to the waters gushing out of the gargoyle
under the bash of a heavy tropical rain
their fun resulting in suffocation
of ready catch in the blinding net of fisherman ;
desires diving deep into the base of sands
grovelling in pain on the river’s dark plane ;
and life getting muddier in the streams
with little help for drowning screams ,
and farmers at the bank gasping ,preferring
to kill self ,failing to fulfil very small,little dreams
the drones of bullets in the sound of this wild fall
terrifying workers in the distant Baghdad
with their helpless parents shedding a rain from eyes
and at the base of every belly a strange hunger cries !

TONIGHT WHY DID YOU…?

Tonight why did you my dear
shed  this hot drop of tear ?
I , in a ceaseless rain do pour
my  eyes to your windows so near !

Why do you like to embrace such fear
of  death to our love in   future very near?
Listen to the music of eternal rain
that resonates in your ear, my ear !!

Why do you worry my dear
when  rain drops your face do smear?
Tune your heart to the music of the throb
Of my heart beating to yours so  near !!!

TRANSLATE MY HUNGER INTO YOUR PEACE
That day so beautifully you translated
a child’s prattle into a lovely song ,
the long futile plough of farmers
in this country’s fallow lands
into a pastoral epic so long ,
and hurtles ,hisses of guns at the border
into words of harmony in the long run ;
now for God’s sake please
hold me in your delicate hands
and with your magic words translate me
into something other than I ;
translate me into the deep forest of your fear and love
the soft look of deer in your eyes
where desires flit like dark drunken butterflies
in quest of secret chambers of forbidden love
thirst seeps like drops of rain into the earth
of your body after hurried drinks of herons and dove.
Translate my dreams into
talkative muskara in your eyes
my longings into
smiley blossoms in your dark hair
that for the Spring so eagerly sighs ;
my pain into your soft sleep
my restlessness into
your breath quite deep ;
my hunger into your peace
and my death into your bliss.
